Volunteer for our sixth annual Head Start Bloom event, held at Salt Lake City's beautiful, historic Salt Lake Country Club, on Saturday, August 28, 2010! To make it a success, we need volunteers to help us set up, take down, and run this event. We are searching for people for the following shifts:Friday, August 27th 9:00am – Noon, and 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Job: Loading and unloading event supplies
Saturday, August 28th 8:00am – Noon, 10:00 – 2:00pm, 1:00pm -3:00pm
Job: Setting up the event. For the first shift, we’re looking for volunteers who feel comfortable lifting and carrying items (some heavy). For the second and third shift, we want volunteers that have a good eye for décor.
Saturday, August 28th 4:30pm -10:30pm (Dinner provided!)
Job: Volunteering during this time slot is when the actual event takes place. We need volunteers to help with our silent auction, check in and check out, directing foot traffic, and more!

Salt Lake CAP Head Start depends on the help of volunteers to provide 20% of their annual budget. This means that each individual who volunteers at Head Start helps to contribute to the strengthening of the over 2,000 families we serve yearly.
Each year, Salt Lake CAP Head Start successfully places between 1,000 and 4,000 volunteers who read to the children, play educational games, assist the teaching staff with classroom activities and field trips, and help with construction projects.
Salt Lake CAP Head Start would like to thank all of the individuals, businesses, students, and agencies who volunteer for the children and families of our program. We appreciate your time and dedication to make our community a better place!
